Punctilious Thaumaturges, and Enculturation...
As the title indicates, "Punctilious Thaumaturges, and Enculturation..." (one may need a dictionary, or click the word) is a mouthful, but if you have the time, you've got to read about the Nacirema tribe. The article is a little dated (kudos to those who can notice the anachronisms) and happens to be 1151 words long.
Who knew such a culture existed, so close to home!!
P.S. there's a punch line...albeit scholarly, but your smart (http://www.tk421.net/gallery/sounds/smrt.wav), you'll figure it out.
P.P.S. If you are a P.C. user, try right mouse clicking links (any link, anywhere) and select "open in a new tab" (in Firefox) or a "new window" (in Internet Explorer) so you can always get back to the original page....
And a link: If you clicked the "http://www.tk421.net/gallery/sounds/smrt.wav" link above, and nothing happened, you can cut and paste the link into the address bar to hear it, or you can click here to hear.... Can't resist Gump ! (http://www.tk421.net/gallery/sounds/gump.wav)!
